I’m Henry Hall, one of the directors here at Strive. My journey with the company began shortly after I left school, starting with just one day a week on site while I was still attending college. I was learning the ropes, supporting the team, and getting hands-on experience. When the Covid pandemic hit, I transitioned into a full-time role, gaining valuable skills across a wide range of construction tasks.
After five years with Strive, I took a break to explore an office-based role elsewhere, which gave me insight into a different side of the working world. However, as Strive continued to grow, my dad — and business partner — Steve asked me to return and take on a more strategic role. At the end of 2024, I came back to Strive as a director, now focusing on managing projects, running the office, and helping drive the business forward.
Outside of work, I’m a huge football fan — unfortunately for me, that means supporting Tottenham Hotspur.
Steve Hall, my dad, is the founder and driving force behind Strive. He began his career as a roofer at the age of 23, working across London and steadily expanding his skills beyond roofing into other areas of construction.
Steve later joined an insurance company called Improve Line, where he specialized in roofing and internal works. He went on to manage fire and water damage restoration projects ranging from £10,000 to £300,000. From there, he took on larger projects — building extensions, then working with local councils through his previous company, The Force Group. The company handled £2–3 million worth of work annually through council contracts.
Steve has also been involved in property development, including a 16-home project in Newmarket and a 35-flat social housing development — from acquiring land and gaining planning permission to final sale.
He founded Strive to bring together a trusted team and deliver high-quality construction services. It wasn’t an easy start, but with the right people in place, Steve has built a company that clients can rely on. In 2025 and beyond, he’s focused on making sure every Strive project is one clients will be proud of.
Outside the business, Steve enjoys horse racing and golf — and yes, he even owns a racehorse.
